Thanks Tian Wei for trying to start the discussion with the professor Hagle but unfortunately professor Hagle is part of the problem because they are indecisive with the whole yeah so many factors to consider and other bla bla. The only solution to stop gun violence in the US is full ban on weapons at home and work! people still can possess non-military grade weapons but storage and use much be regulated for example at shooting ranges and hunt associations. These licensed places must be checked regularly by federal agencies.

Highlight issues for this trial. 1. Judge was biased in favor of Rittenhouse (shooter) 2. Judge dismiss one of the juror because of a "joke" 3. Judge question a common zoom feature in a tablet and wonder if it has been hampered by AI (let it sink in) 4. Judge dismiss the charges of illegal and underage possession of a gun.

This wasn't about race. It was about neo-Nazi youth versus leftwing youth. This is a victory for the corporatist state, since it was a fortiori destined to end in the acquittal of Rittenhouse without touching on the important social issues in the case. The corporatist state is keen to pit youth of politically right persuasion against youth of politically left persuasion since that's a means of eliminating its enemies on both the left and right. Rittenhouse was within the law to defend himself, but the verdict will generate more animosity between the two ends of the political spectrum. What the country needs is for all the victims of the system, both from the right and the left, to join forces to protect their very existence.

In America killing people in preemptive strikes is alright. This will set a precedent for others to follow. So, school going kids bringing guns to classes are much like bringing lunchboxes along with it. The murderer showmanship in court runs supreme, able to elude the juries. Bravo.

It's justice served since he was attacked by several armed people. So it was self-defense. Now, having said that: 1. He, as well as them, should've not been armed in the first place. 2. It's high time NRA lobbies total control over the Congress to be abolished so such cases to stop repeating themselves.

That old Iowa Professor is part of the problem. Why are the laws so different in different states? Could it be because states with diversity like California or New York or the city of Chicago have very strong laws and European looking states have no restrictions on buying.... In a state where it is legal to carry a 12 year old african american had a toy and he was playing in a park near from his school and within seconds security came and eliminated him without investigating that this was a baby boy playing in the park and no one was nearby. While Europeans are allowed to walk around and face no similar treatments.

At least you're bringing on non-conservatives finally to balance things out. He's wrong though, because they're pursuing the harshest sentence of the gun charge, while rittenhouse's gun charge was thrown out on a technicality that appears aimed at allowing minors to possess guns for hunting

“The only constant in life is change,” says Heraclitus, the Ancient Greek philosopher. Conspicuously, the ability to change is what separate the winner from the loser. While China continues to reform its sociopolitical system; the United States seems to be trapped in time. The First Amendment was part of the Bill of Rights that was added to the American Constitution on December 15, 1791. It protects several basic freedoms in the United States including freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the right to assemble, and the right to petition the government. In the same year, the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution was ratified to preserve the individual rights to keep and bear arms. However, the United States was only a federation of 14 states, with a population of less than 4 million (by an estimate) of largely white immigrants from Europe or their descendants. The Natives and black slaves were not considered as citizens or humans. But today, America is a country of 320 million people of all creeds. Similarly, the firearms those days have to be loaded one round at a time, with the average rate of fire of 3 to 4 rounds per minute. The damage that can be inflicted by these muskets and flintlock pistols were nothing compare to the semi- and fully-automatic weapons that are easily available today. The prevalent societal dysfunction is, in no small way, attributable to the rigid interpretation of the limit of “freedom and liberty” guaranteed by constitutional laws that are largely archaic or rendered redundant by the effluxion of 230 years. But worst, the highly partisan political system is causing both political and social divides in the United States. The nexus of its political power, Washington, has become a stage for the contest of the self-seeking politicians, and the powerful capitalists and lobbyists.
