I have a question: For past few months I am sleeping 3hrs 30 mins in the day and 3hrs 30 mins in the night due taking care of old parents and my work schedule. I don't see any issues, I feel fresh and okay. Is this good for the human system? Also I can't go to sleep when it is total silence, I had to listen to some universe documentary and when my wife stops it, subconsciously I wake up. Please advise>> <<@practice4089 says : I exercise regularly, eat healthy and stay at chart weight. I don't have trouble falling asleep (anywhere) and stay asleep for the duration, dreams and all. I would be miserable if I had to be in a bed for eight hours straight. 4-5 hours is enough for me, anything more and I'm groggy>> <<@top.350 says : I have bought different mattresses and they all seem to be too hot even when I leave the thermostat at 68 degrees my back it's always hot. I recently went to El Salvador and I slept like a baby and what I noticed was that my back was never hot during the two weeks that I stayed there, so I'm convinced now that in my case whatever the material they fill up the mattresses with in El Salvador it's definitely much cooler than whatever it's they use in the States and it definitely helped me sleep better.>> <<@21972012145525 says : Where can I follow Rebecca Robbins? In the old days of candle light and fires, there was no blue light produced and so the body could enter sleep mode unhindered. Blue light starts when the Sun comes up and gives us the wake up call accept that today with lights, computers and cell phones, this blue light is always present around us and prevents the body from producing Melatonin. Get your sun glasses that remove the blue light spectrum. Non blue light light bulbs. When you go the the bathroom at 2AM, do not turn on any lights or this will cost you minimum 30 minutes of sleep lag. These are all known facts that modern day medicine does not want you to know.>> <<@circa1890 says : About 30 years ago, I was reading a very old book (at least 300 years old) and I noticed something very strange in it.. they spoke of a "second sleep". The night was divided into two halves. First sleep took place from eight to almost midnight. Then the family would get up and many times go over to other people's homes, sew, play music, etc. Then around two in the morning they would go back to bed for "second sleep" till morning... (on a side note, apparently the best time to get pregnant is the beginning of second sleep .. that's what one book said, anyway.) The time that they were awake was referred to as "the watch". This sort of biphasic sleep schedule had gone back through the centuries (at least according to some other books I've read).. it seemed at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution is when "sleeping through the night" became popular. There was just no manual on sleeping for humans throughout time.. I wonder who's getting it right or if we ever really will.>> <<@wattsup1004 says : The real science behind getting in a truly good nights sleep is very simple. Good sleep depends on your Societal Exprecations. and Unethical decsions might occur if you didn't sleep properly. Is that Dick Cheney's problem? The Donalds? Lets go Brandon's? The advice about lowering the bedroom temperature below 70F raises obvious questions about blankets... how warm should the blanket be, and which parts of the body should the blanket cover? 2. I wake up many times each night, and my active mind is what makes it hard to fall asleep. My solution to help me fall asleep (or fall back to sleep) is to listen to fiction audiobooks or the soundtracks of tv episode reruns. It's been very effective. The point is to listen to speech that suppresses my own thoughts, but which is not so fascinating that it will keep me awake. Staying awake to hear the entire story is not the goal. When I awaken in the middle of the night, a player app that lets me rewind by swiping backward on a progress bar makes it easy to rewind the story to a position I remember hearing, where I resume the playing to help me fall back to sleep.>> <<@oldsharkbythesea3962 says : For a GREAT Night’s Sleep, turn off CNN and NEVER WATCH IT AGAIN! 😂>> <<@ricky275 says : Anyone can control the dream?>> <<@jimmyjames9752 says : C-SPAN PROTECTING CHINA JOE AND HUNTER. 10% FOR THE BIG GUY CHINA 🇨🇳 JOE 😉>> <<@jimmyjames9752 says : NEVER SAY HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP FROM HELL ON C-SPAN WASHINGTON SWAMP JOURNAL 😉>> <<@jimmyjames9752 says : CNN CHINESE NEWS NETWORK CCP>> <<@dosdont says : Cannabis>> <<@ernestoybarra7333 says : CNN💩should be put sleep permanently 😲>> <<@antoanetapateva4992 says : My greetings to you, have listened you many a times on CNN, my congratulations! I have been successful with 5-7 hrs sleep I am able to fall to deep sleep quick & lower my heart rate depends on diet & caffeine intake. I tracked on Fitbit. I am sure it will change as I approach my 60s. One key is taking time to meditate & learning to lower heart rate & proper food intake before bed light no sugar, no caffeine after noon.
