We Americans act like wey're special and somehow care more about freedom than citizens of any other country but it's simply not true. All humans want the values this country was built on in theory. We look at other countries and say how can they live in a place controlled by government, I would do something about it if I was there. But the truth is you live in a country like that too, America is at war with it's own people (drug war) and most of society just accepts that it's "the right thing to do." Not so hard for people in power to convince you it's okay to strip you and your fellow citizens of their rights, liberties, and freedoms huh? How many politicians can you think of that wanted to end the war on drugs and end the suffering at the hands of the government? I can only think of two...both of which were independents and only ran with a party in presidential elections because they wouldn't stand a chance otherwise. Those two people are Ron Paul and Bernie Sanders. They don't care about power and control, they only care about empowering citizens with their rights and freedoms. And if the PLA were ordered to kill people, the tank would have certainly rolled over "The Tankman" without a second thought.
