Before Russians had to be served conscription papers at their home address so those unwilling to serve left home to avoid it. Now, they're recruited as soon as they appear on the digital database. If you don't comply they freeze bank accounts assets, stop you leaving the country, risk jail. I'm sure their families would be threatened too.
