Such BS from Sky News. This is a normal Perth summer but Sky comes out with rubbish "like no other". I've lived in Perth for 60 years. Occasionally we've had an unusually cool Christmas but mostly it's bloody hot and we love it, so piss off Sky with your exaggerated BS.

Extreme heat wave? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA It was hot, yes, Perth has 3 consecutive days of 40° every single year. "Hottest day on record" BULLSHIT!! (notice how they try to make it a big deal - "hottest day on record... in the last 7 years" - PATHETIC) we have had 45° days only a few years back. Maybe the hottest Christmas day on record, but definitely not the hottest day on record. If Perth is having the 40° days now, I wouldn't expect too many, although possible, more days over 40 for the rest of the summer. I said this last year when the media (in their air-conditioning) were having a melt down over the Jan heat wave. I was right, and it did NOT get hotter for the rest of summer, not even in Feb which is historically the hottest month. Normally we get 3 days of over 40° in Feb, the peak heat of the summer. But then we had it in Jan (with news saying "more heat to come" which didn't come because the peak days had passed). Now the wave is in December. My analysis over many years is now confirmed, the peak heat wave is moving down the calendar. I would not be surprised that next years heat wave be in November. All this means is the Earth is in a bit of a wobble on it's axis at the moment (only noticeable with normal weather patterns moving along the calendar), and will probably stabilize again in the future where the peak heat wave will normalise in a single month for a few years. Every fucking year - "omg we are all going to die, hottest day on record for the last 30 days". Harden the fuck up princess, this is Australia, it has always been hot, early explorers have recorded this in their journals and books. I suggest you pick one up and give it a read. Australia, in the summer months faces the sun directly head on due to the axis tilt. But I am not surprised that people would not know this. Teenagers today do not know if Perth is a city or a state, and think Queensland is overseas. This is our future, schools have failed the children!!! If this very normal Perth summer weather is extreme for you... leave, maybe we will stop building shoebox houses on top of each other and get blocks that have a backyard again. When you build a concrete jungle it is going to FEEL hotter than it really is. When you get climatized to an air conditioner, NORMAL weather will feel hotter to you. GET OUT AND GET SOME Vit D (it will help keep covid away)
