I served in idf combat unit, not a cyber or computer unit. Today everyone who I served with are now in hi-tech. Granted, technical experience in the army may give one direct access to hi-tech, but it's not contigent upon it. And skills you get for life in a combat unit cannot be gained anywhere else.
