Such as centrelink payments fortnightly for those who have children, lower or nil Medicare levies, not 'forced' to pay for health insurance for hospital cover for the 365 days(which cost about $50 or $60 a week etc, lower income earners also get subsidise govt prescription if the family get sick, full subsidies for childcare, etc which higher income earners are not entitled to...... The state government(s) also has subsidies for lower income earners in other ways, such as back to school grants and the like..... Its a relatively fair system in our Aussie country. But off course, there are those that will miss out, Between the tax rate brackets..
