I would suggest a different change in portrayal. Also like I know people are discriminating against transgenders because they believe it's a psychological choice and mental illness they are supposed to go to psychotherapy for. But what is intersex there for then? Like yeah they could be discriminated against too but it's more justifiable on a psychological level, but its literally genetics from birth. Now they could be doing that because intersex are also being discriminated or made to feel unnatural and more excluded from society and so are transgenders, it affects their mental health. They could legitimately be doing it for the mental health of both and not to discriminate. But my issue they are being classified and labeled as "mentally ill" which is only going to increase that discrimination and be harmful to both intersex and transgenders as they are being seen even more as outcasts. They're being put in the same box as those who are delusional and mentally too unwell to function and it really brings a bad reputation. And for anyone who's reading this and hates transgenders and intersex, what's changed is the awareness and accessibility to medical procedures. They don't get to choose whether they are intersex or transgender, what they do get to choose is how much they value others opinions over their own. What can happen with transgenders is because of the awareness and content consumption, it could lead to a misdiagnose as well as other transgenders trying to be supportive because others aren't, which further leads them down the transition path. Which is why I do believe they should receive a professional opinion over multiple sessions with a therapist to ensure this is the correct path to take. And in terms of intersex I don't believe there should be medical gender reassigning procedures decisions made in the hands of parental guardians and should be done when the person is 18 and can make their own decisions based on their gender identity. Things are just things, they do not have genders.
