Just like the Voice lots of loyal Labor voters will vote for this future of nuclear run and owned by federal laws and governments this is the only way to drive down power prices and not letting activist billionaires who are 100% doing energy deals behind closed doors with Bowen and Albo right now. Aussies can smell a rat from a mile away and Labor is now on the nose with it's renewable propaganda that's is involving activist billionaires only interested in lining their pockets with personal tax concessions and lining their pockets with even more money .

We need to think SMRs and short time lines. There is start ups of 2 to 3 years proposed by experts where there trucked in and connected up. Now if the states are going to play hard ball which they will then yes this will drag out. We don't have to rip down forests, we don't have to acquire farmers land or put expensive wind mills that cause health issues to farmers and best of all it will be a more long term solution.

This is FRAUD, and every politician and bureaucrat that caused it to happen will pay for crimes against humanity in military tribunals which will start up shortly.

How much of our energy needs is the coalition suggesting nuclear will provide? What is the mix of SMR's and large nuclear reactors? How long before all 7 reactors are fully operational? Is the coalition suggesting we not spend money on renewables in the meantime? Paul Murray seems to think that a list of 7 names is a policy document. I can imagine if Albanese had put forward a list of 7 names as being a policy, Paul Murray would have been ridiculing it, but not when the coalition do it.

Right now, the installed solar in Australia is 35GW and a new 5GW solar is installed every year. Solar produces 14% of the electricity in Australia which is about 91 million kWh everyday. They are planning 7 nuclear plants with a total of 7GW costing 140 billion. These plants all put together can produce about 85 million kWh daily. Australia’s electricity requirement is 660 million kWh. Even after 12 years, when these plants come online, it will just produce 85 million kWh. That’s not much. Also, nuclear costs 6 times more than solar with battery backup. I know how this lady comes up a number of 1.5 trillion. And many readers believe her saying 1.5 trillion is a lot. She doesn’t even know how she got the number

Yesterday i received an email from Origin Energy TELLING me i have been enrolled in a program called SPIKE which pays you to switch off appliances during peak load periods. So what they are doing is paying people NOT to use their energy...you get a text or email telling you it is time to switch off most of your heavy load appliances and only use them in non peak demand periods.Has ANY successful and reliable company in history ever had to send texts or emails out to people telling them NOT to use their product and paying them or giving them rewards to do so ? . It strikes me as there being something very very concerning about the future and reliability of renewable energy in this country when the major energy suppliers are forward planning this like this into the power grid .They know things are going to get bad and they are trying to put a cheerful face on it.We need a Royal commission into renewable energy now before our entire grid collapses

Nuclear power is inevitable, and it is the only realistic alternative for securing Australia's energy supply if coal-powered stations are to be replaced. Renewables have already cost more than a trillion dollars and are unreliable, making them unsuitable for large enterprises that require continuous baseload power. Unless there is a two-tier system in which large corporations and wealthy individuals have constant power and you experience regular blackouts, trying to fix your Chinese made solar panels and waiting for the wind to blow.

The fact that Elmer signed up to nuclear subs yet tries to demonise it at the same time shows how idiotic they are. I am guessing that there will be greater than the Voice votes for this. Go you, Dutton. When you hear labor trying to continue justifying renewables is laughable. They are trying to keep their green investors safe from losing more dollars. Any increase in the push to more renewables to complete a target just destroys the economy at the expense of how consumers feel and ignores the increasing cost to them. That is the point. Every time they build more renewables the costs go up. Go Dutton
