The moderators will try and fact check Trump and push back on anything he says but they will leave Biden alone to speak his prepared statements (for instance if Biden tries to lie and say inflation was 9% when he took office). The moderators will run interference if Trump tries to ask Biden a question. This debate will be as scripted as possible so that Biden comes out looking like he has full control of his faculties.
