This war either ends with Russia completely collapsing from the cost of this war, the Russian people finally reaching the breaking point and overthrowing Putin, or with Putin becoming smart enough to realize that he would be better off appeasing the other side for what he did and backing off. Personally I don't think the third option is very realistic.
