If the renewables are on the top of priority list then the LNP needs to convince the voters that the renewables aren't going to do the job for an electricity grid that Australia needs for the future. This is a basic fact and it is a no brainer for anyone with even the most modest understanding of an electricity grid and what is required to make it work in the most effective and economic manner. It is pure Labor nonsense to continue with the renewables because no it is high time to put some baseload power into the system. It is also high time to stop wasting taxpayers money on something that won't do the job of providing cheap reliable power that can meet the demand of the future.

The sham of Australia’s climate change policy has been made clear in the past two weeks. No, not nuclear power. Last Friday, while everyone was racing down nuclear-powered rabbit holes, the environment department (led by the environment minister, Tanya Plibersek) approved a coal seam gas pipeline in Queensland. This approval “has effect until 30 June 2069”. And on Tuesday the department approved the Atlas stage 3 gas project in Queensland out to June 2080. Oh wait, gas is a fossil fuel - no opposition from the opposition.....🤥

Anyone who thinks renewables are viable, go back to school. Moron’s. There is no such thing as renewables. It is just semantics. Wind turbines and solar panels rarely break even, so is it renewable? And Bowen knows this but he is too coward to admit that he has no idea about the costing of renewables. Before the LNP reveals anything at all about nuclear, the Labor party needs to get its costings right on the renewables first because what exists right now it not costing at all it is just a small fraction of what needs to be done.

Just ask those of us who live in Texas how well Solar and Wind energies work. We have enough fossil fuels to cover us for untold years, but our government decided to push solar and wind. We had problems with our electricity in all three of those situations, due to our heavy reliance on solar and wind.
