Now, with my current training, having never in my life been in a crash, never had a speeding fine, or even been pulled over by the police, i have been refused a driving job after 3 months and over 50 job applications. Each company saying the exact same thing "We are hesitant to hire and train new drivers due to insurance costs on trucks" So who are they hiring? Immigrants! You want proof? type in "how to get truck license in Australia" and scroll down the videos, taking note on how many immigrants are making videos about this. Then take note of how many immigrants are driving the small MR trucks when you drive past them. Examples of poor training i experienced on my education: -Trying to hand me a HR license when i NEVER STEPPED FOOT IN A HR VEHICLE! is that even legal? -The teacher in the class, giving all the answers to each question at the end of a study session, instead of actually having to get correct answers to prove you are competent. -Teachers in the class offering bribes for easy pass tickets (Im not even joking) -Instructors who are more motivated by convincing you to book more lessons with them, rather than actually teaching you how to drive, since the former earns them more cash, they actually make more cash if they DONT teach you how to drive, if that makes sense. Our government needs to be held responsible for this, how many heavy vehcle accidents is that this year now where someone died? so many! There are no truck apprenticeships, no training programs for young drivers like there is in Europe and USA, no incentives for companies to hire and train new drivers. We are so far behind in our transport safety and policy which hasnt been updates for DECADES, and now people are dying due to it, its appalling. I have been trying so hard, trained so hard, took this all so serious, and yet i really feel like my job has been stolen by an immigrant, i am still unemployed.>> <<@alandelbridge5979 says : the road is a goat track>> <<@Asone82 says : The bus ended up on the tracks after collision on the road. If you live North of the dividing line at Rockhampton your life doesn't matter and tax dollars aren't showered on your needs. Queensland North of Rockhampton produces a fair slice of the GDP for the whole of Australia, yet they get stuff all in return. Better roads, better railways, better bridges and bigger dams are needed in the North.
