To address the other issue of the nut-bars trying to stop the coal trains: The problem is with the disinformation and misinformation that people are exposed to, because almost no media will touch what's really happening on this planet, including Sky News unfortunately. The anti-CO2 activists and their ilk are sold on bad science that has been completely debunked rigorously.... but the people pushing back against their ludicrous claims are those that come with equally insane claims that there is no such thing as climate changes, or that no changes are happening.... For those that are concerned and actually want to understand; climate change is cyclical and undeniable, has never been forced by CO2 or methane, but is definitely electromagnetic in nature.... and it is forced by solar activity, solar system activity, galactic activity, and activity bigger and on time scales hard for most humans to fathom.... now, go do your own research and homework, and stop deferring to those "experts" with a vested interest in perpetuating the ridiculous narratives at either end of the spectrum. Sky News would do a lot for their credibility if they were the first media organisation in Australia to be honest about what is happening, the how of it, and the why of it. But I'm not about to go holding my breath on that one. Hint: it's not by taking the IPCC seriously on any of their claims, even though they are not even close to how insane governments across the western world have become.
