I go every summer and have a ton of conservative fun. My pal & I walked all over but didn’t go into the Tenderloin district where the sad online videos of drug addicts are shot. In the past couple years the city placing some friendly cops walking the beat downtown has made a huge difference. All big cities should do this. I saw Evita, a free concert in Union Square, vibrant Chinatown, shopped, had dinner & a show in the Tonga Room, heard nearly every Euro language among the visitors packed on the cable cars, and dined at a wide variety of the most wonderful restaurants in America. Like all US big cities, this one has its unique problems. I had bought Murray’s latest book and often watch his videos, but I was disappointed and shocked that he’d make such ill informed and far too generalized remarks about San Francisco. I hope he isn’t pandering to that very ugly, hateful section of the right that actually wants S.F. and CA to fail. (I’ll be baaaack in October for the S.F.
