She knows that a lot of her voters despise extremism, conspiracy theories and aggressive language. The reason the RN is so strong is that they don´t sound and act like a typical far right party. Their refusal of of working with the AfD, kicking out people who go too far, not publicly denying climate change and denouncing the invasion of Ukraine is only a strategy to not scare off voters.
