<<@loumjustin7490 says : NEMA has it's own miscalculations and was wrong on decision making. If NEMA believes that the floods in Kampala are entirely on encroachment of wetlands then this is a myth. Tarmac roads and housings are the twin most unnoticed causes of floods around the country and especially in Kampala. God created earth with it's perfection to drain or that water may infiltrate through to it's bottom layers and if it can hold more then he made swamps for them. Now here came a brilliant man. He said let's make tarmac roads . Hehehe.... And slowly by slowly.. road civilization. Millions of acres of land has been covered with tarmac(impenetrable to water). Top Earth component altered. If you are to calculate how many gallons of water that used to be absorbed by this surface that are now covered. Oh my !!! You could be looking at a lake almost. Civilization stop here. Today thousands of houses are covering land surfaces and when it rains ! The area which used to capture water is no more. But Water has to find somewhere to go. These combined theories I believe are the reason why there's flooding especially in Kampala. Let's not give a blind look at realities. Are we going to remove the roads, hell no. What of the the houses. Not at all. We have failed ourselves, we all. And why must people in wetlands pay for our sin? NEMA could have predicted this but you know what office chairs are nice to sit on. evicting people in wetlands has close to zero effect on what is happening or even what is coming ahead. 1-UNRA has to get design lagoons or underground water catchment areas to compensate for area surface lost and not use existing already overloaded wetlands. 2-There should be new housing policies that mandates everyone constructing to have a rain water collection point to compensate for house Area and impenetrable compounds. 3- NEMA.. can someone tell me that my theories are wrong. If not stop evictions.>> <<@joyashaba-fw8cu says : NEMA . Mukaarya esente zoo kushhumbusha abo abantu.. haati nimwenda baazehii ?>> <<@ivannansag says : Museveni must go>> <<@KABUYENIGHT says : For sure Uganda has become hell. I can't imagine someone built his / her house while nema is looking, infact they might be the ones who authorized them to build because they wanted some ka money, but now after eating they come for demolition. Why demolish most of the poor and leave the bifekelas like those factories, a poor person can't own a factory, why factories are not being demolished. No Nneda Uganda otuzaya.>> <<@vision6071 says : 😢😢😢😢>> <<@RevolutionOfWeb3 says : NEMA is also at fault, where were they when these so called wetlands were being occupied?😢 Why wait still eviction?>> <<@Mwesigwa-l8t says : if it's eviction them all leave without sidelining others>>
