They should have been doing just 20 km/h over that stretch of road as it had black ice on it today 18/7/2024. It has nothing to do with their ethnicity. Now that those 2 drivers know what can go wrong, they will go a lot slower there next time. I know they have been driving for 10 years but they didn't have experience with black ice which forms on the road with the combination of fog and below-zero temperatures. I drove my class 4 truck through that stretch of road weekly for 6 years, and in 2016 when there was the same conditions (fog and black ice) and I discovered what it is like. There were several vehicles stranded or slid off the road.
