I usually can come up with some reasonable solution, but this has been happening so long and so often that someone else must find an answer! Metal detectors will expose the kids to radiation? It may need a community effort! "See something & say something $$ rewards for information of kids known to carry weapons! Letters or notices sent to parents about no tolerance policy on weapons? Absolute suspension for the school year which includes a trespass notice for that year! Have both child and parents sign before the school year begin. Require parents watch a video in school auditorium with child or view on internet then electronic sign acknowledgement form. Ask for participation from local gun store owners to have all customers to sign a good faith acknowledgement about keeping guns locked away from kids and watch a video on local school policy before purchase. Ask the NRA to participate and partner with schools! No talk about taken guns away from law abiding citizens! I'm just rambling!
