That being said, it's incredibly ignorant to have no understanding of cultural differences and to imagine that people who do voodoo would never eat cats. I lived in a neighborhood in Brazil where we saw animal sacrifices on the street corner and our neighbor ate cats. It's a documentable fact that many Haitians have a tradition of eating cats. Also a fact that while I do have deep empathy for Haitians, much of their suffering is of their own making. Systemic corruption. And nothing is wrong with demanding that those who come here do so legally and respect our culture and ways. Some will call me a racist. Whatever. My wife is Brazilian and she is the one who first told me about people here eating cats. My girls are biracial. This has nothing to do with race. Honestly it think anybody who is shocked by reports of Haitians eating cats lives in a bubble, disconnected from reality. I would actually find it unbelievable to imagine that Haitians practicing voodoo live in the US and none of them are eating cats. Here's a lesson in basic logic, which probably should be a school subject again. Even if there was no proof, lack of proof that something is true does not equate to proof that it is false. So where is the proof that the many citizens who testify of Haitians eatings cats and ducks, are lying? You have bo proof it is false. And you simply cannot prove a negative. You cannot (*not*, I repeat) prove when something *hasn't* happened. eg. Look at this great elephant repellent. ...
