Even kids playing video games that are violent, it desensitizes them to a degree. Kids pick up a gun and shoot a bunch of people, and there are probably multiple things that leads to kids doing that, like, single family homes, being alone too much, being bullied, not being part of anything, but then there's also getting desensitized by violence in TV and violence in video games. I personally think the biggest things that cause kids to do things like that is seeing violence all the time, whether it be on TV or on video games, and not feeling like they are a part of anything anymore. We all used to be part of a community, that made us feel connected, but now we aren't really part of communities anymore, or at least not in the same way. Who knows all their neighbours nowadays? It used to be neighbours knew each other, and that makes you feel connected, and I think as people we need to feel connected to each other and to nature. Lots of people don't have that anymore, they don't go to church, they don't get involved in the community, they don't know the people who live around them, and as a result, they feel disconnected from other people. Then on top of that they see so much violence on the TV and in video games.
