In the USA we were also told that selling US ag products, etc to China was going to be so great for us. Wrong. Our lobster prices went from ~ $11 to $30/lb. Other seafood exploded in price as well. Most cement plants here were bought up by Chinese companies and cement zoomed upwards ridiculously. Vegetables, beef, etc. have skyrocketed in part due to selling to China first. Also, the quality of these items left for us in the U.S. has gone down. Gee, I wonder why this could be? This benefits someone but not the average person.
