Cant get to see my regular Dr for 2 weeks, even the entire surgery (all drs) booked for 2 weeks. Imagine if you had an emergency or you ran short of meds. Its not a joke anymore. Medical help is supposed to be available 24/7 and I am not talking about hospitals, because theyre overun. You used to be able to walk into your regular Drs surbery an get to see someone, not to mention it costs over $120 each time. Every I speak to has the same problem. Now with NDIS all the "disabled" people are coming out of the woodwork and the dodgy companies being paid by the tax payer to provide overcharged services. I mean to cut a lawn some of these lazy NDIS uses are being charged $1200 only to sit on their front veranda with a VB in hand watching some dodgy dude being paid this to cut a tiny piece of grass. This is absurd. The NDIS will bankrupt the country within the next 10 years if something isn't done and done fast. Yet if you rock up to an emergency triage with your sick kid or family member and you are waiting there for 10 hours plus for someone to see you. This is absurd!!!!! Lastly Medicare should be means tested. If you are an extremely wealthy person you should not have access to Medicare nor should your family member. I'm sorry but if you can afford to comfortably pay your own medical expenses you should. I see so many extremely wealthy older Australians taking the piss out of the Medicare system. There is nothing offered by the gove4nrment that should not be means tested. Sure set the bar high, but it should all be means tested. Otherwise we will go broke and tax will continue to increase.
