My parents graduated 1955 and 56. I was class ic 84. Went from all the class standing and reciting the pledge of allegiance and singing america the beautiful to a recording of the pledge and a 10 second moment of silence in 84. Curriculum droped to nothing in 30 yrs between me and my parents. My daughter graduated in 2019 and she sadly was encouraged to do estimates in math, print for hand writing and to relying on electronic devices. Shes learned cursive , how to use a dictionary and thesaurus to write effectively. Her college classmates write literally on a 4th grade level and that's ok? Time to clean up education system and hold staff accountable for there lack of performance.>>
