Progressive governments have ruined this country. We never had to import anything. We made it all here. Now, what’s left? Car manufacturing left in 2016. We made some of the best cars in the world and they were exported in not large numbers, but were and they are still recognised as some of the most reliable cars ever. Even BMC Leyland, they were innovative and took risks and some were world famous and some not so. But again Australia re-tuned some of these cars to suit our conditions and made great cars. I hope one day soon, Australia will start manufacturing again, create jobs and stop relying on imported vehicles and products. Our government needs to back off on taxpayers for a while. Why do we pay income tax and GST, excises on fuel, alcohol cigarettes and pay tolls on roads that we pay for and some of the roads are just crap. We have the keep our cars roadworthy, but are the roads car worthy? Not always. This country needs a big shake up and get rid of these pigs in the trough just gouging this country dry.
