Australia has enjoyed a very healthy budget surplus with China for at least 20 years. It's dropped in the past few years, mostly because of a conservative government that has dropped to its knees to the US and done everything it could to stifle trade and fire up military escalation with our LARGEST trading partner. I'm 55 & cannot remember a time in all those years that paranoid conservatives have not tried to tell me how dangerous China is and how soon we will be at war with them. No other country has contributed more to the living standards of Australians over the last 20 years more than China, and yes that definitely includes the US.
