For the Morrison Government to sign off on a half baked internal investigation back in 21 knowing full well that the Sale of darwin Ports from the very beginning was awash with dirty deals backhanders Lies deception fraud and corruption that went all the way up to the PM's office (Turnbull) during negotiations and the point of sale in 2016. But that is not the half of it, Darwin Ports at the point of sale was the only publically owned asset making a profit for the then CLP NT government headed by Adam Giles to the tune of around 17-25 million a year, not a lot in the grand scheme of things but still a good solid base to work off at the beginning of each financial year for Government to kick off. Now here's where it all gets interesting, Darwin Ports a public asset was sold to the tune of $505 million to Landbridge and under the Giles CLP Government that publically owned money was mean't to go to NT Treasury but for some unforseen circumstance the money never arrived. Instead it went to pay off the dredging company for the ships to come in and out of Darwin Harbor for the then Impex Gas Project as the negotiations done at the time was that the NT Giles Government cover the cost of the Harbor Dredging conveniently priced at .. wait for it $505million ... or the New Impex gas plant does not go ahead. Chief Minister Giles was desperate to make the deal to spin the line of New gas Plant New NT Jobs, the prick lost the election anyway and along with the $505 million. Also the then Giles CLP Government was mean't to do a Port Sale audit at the time which was not received where NT Treasury was also mean't to receive $505million from the sale of Darwin Ports which never came either and no response was given to anyone at Treasury and not even a NT enquiry to look into the whole shenanigans. But instead I took it upon myself to do some digging and low and behold I happened to find out the people responsible for the sale of the port moved ever so subtly into the background in a very short time then sailed off into the sunset without notice. The corruption was and still is palpable, people should be screaming from the rooftops but instead this Port Darwin business deal was so bad that it stunk the joint out so they just moved the problem along by getting rid of the evidence ... and to make things even worse our new CM finnociaro was around during that time and I'll put money on it that she probably got her palms greased as well ??
