If we don’t learn history, we are doomed to repeat it. This is life under Socialism. You cannot make this stuff up. The Scandinavian is Capitalist and not Socialist. This is socialism 101. Everyone gets a job, but the government chooses the job you have and if you don’t work, the secret police will throw you in prison. There is no right to retire or choose your career. You leave your job; the secret police will throw you in prison. Your college costs are all paid for, but the government tells you what you should major in and what job you work and how much you get paid. They also tell you what university you will attend. The government guarantees housing but tells you where you are required to live. The government can barge in any house anytime it wants to and violate your privacy. You are not free to decorate your house as you want. The secret police can kick you out at anytime as well and the secret police would throw you in jail. The government controls the food and to get it, you have to wait in a super long breadline which you could be waiting for days and starving before even getting a few slices of bread if you are lucky. Everything is censored. If the government does not like what you say, they can imprison you for life. You are not allowed to even have your own opinion or beliefs. Also, the government controls healthcare. This would mean you have to wait months or even years to get essential medical care. Also, this means more bureaucracy. The government can also blacklist you if it wants to and all food and services will be cut off and unavailable to you. You no longer have any rights at all in a socialist society and you are no longer your own person. This is how life was in the USSR ( Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) which was the Soviet Union and is even in North Korea.
