Bull shark 'likely' behind fatal attack which killed a 16-year-old in the Swan River

????

Authorities are yet to determine the type of shark involved in a fatal attack in WA, but the state's Fisheries Minister believes it was "likely" a bull shark that killed a 16-year-old in Perth's Swan River. WA Fisheries Minister Don Punch says no sharks have been located in the river yet. The fatal shark attack from Saturday afternoon is the first in the Swan River in 100 years.

Why do they have to mention the BREED of the shark? ANY shark can attack. Did you know Bull Sharks actually used to be Nanny sharks?

When my grandfather was a student, a boy swimming in the river near the Scotch College boatshed in Freshwater Bay was taken by a shark. So they do come right up the river, wherever there is salt water.

Amazing with all the empty coastline that Australia possesses, we can't (or wont) protect the tiny sections around our major population centres.
