The original production line of the Taurus missiles produced only a limited number. A speculative amount of 600 missiles have been produced in the past. Germany at this moment still has about 150 to 300 Taurus missiles. So there are a few question about the Taurus: Why is it not in production anymore. Can the production line be restarted. Why are there so few numbers of Taurus missiles produced. Might the Taurus missiles have issues. Most of the answers might be very plausible. It begs the question what is the reason that the German government haven't put the missile back into production, only answer is that they will not give these missiles to Ukraine. Speaking at a March 13 parliamentary question-and-answer session, Scholz stuck to his long-held talking points for Taurus, a bunker-busting, terrain-hugging missile with a range of 500 kilometers that can fly below the radar of air defenses.
