Over 128 heads of state and government are attending the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (#COP26). Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a written statement. Leaders from India, France, Australia and the U.S. are among those expected to address the summit in person. The two-week meeting will review current action and plans at a time when the world has gone through a series of climate-change-related disasters, from severe flooding to wildfires. Dubbed as "the most significant climate event since 2015" and "the world's best chance to get climate change under control," could this year's summit get everyone on board to build a greener future?
