New Zealand has reported its highest daily case load since the start of the pandemic.
There were 206 new infections detected in the past 24 hours, with 200 of these in Auckland.
There are 73 people in hospital with COVID, seven of whom are in intensive care.
Currently 89 per cent of New Zealanders have had their first dose of COVID vaccine, and 78 per cent are fully vaccinated.
