'We've earned this': Minns praises NSW residents for getting vaccinated

????

Opposition leader Chris Minns has credited the success of New South Wales' reopening to residents who got vaccinated in 'record numbers'. Citizens enjoyed a further easing of restrictions on Monday as COVID vaccinations in the state continue to rise with 89.6 per cent of eligible population now fully vaccinated. 'I think that a huge credit should be given to the people of NSW that responded to the call to get vaccinated, they did it in record numbers,' the Labor leader told Sky News Australia. 'Communities in Western Sydney are up around the 95 per cent vaccination rate, which is a tribute to them, to their community leaders and the messaging to go out, get vaccinated and return back to normal life - it's good news. 'Heaven knows we've gone through a tough period over the last three months and we've all earned this freedom.'
