CLP Senator Jacinta Price targeted two decisions by governments that could have disastrous ramifications for remote Indigenous communities in a powerful maiden speech to parliament, Sky News host Chris Kenny says.
"That is the decision by the Northern Territory to scrap mandatory alcohol bans in communities where grog was outlawed as part of the intervention nearly 15 years ago," Mr Kenny said.
"Then there is the decision by the new Albanese federal Labor government to axe the cashless debit card being trialled in regional communities around the country.
"Gutsy, cut-through stuff focussing on a crucial life and death issues."
