Former prime minister Scott Morrison will have to put out a statement at the very least to 'justify his actions,' Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says.
Mr Clennell's comments follow reports Mr Morrison swore himself into three ministerial positions while in government.
A spokesperson has confirmed Governor-General David Hurley, following normal process and acting on the advice of the government of the day, appointed Mr Morrison to administer portfolios other than his own.
