'Radical Islam' to blame for Salman Rushdie stabbing
The stabbing of author Salman Rushdie was a 'pretty clear case' of Islamism being used to attack someone simply for exercising their freedom of speech, says Spiked Online's Brendan O'Neill. 'And simply for writing a novel in 1988,' Mr O'Neill said. 'Our leaders should be speaking out about this far more forcefully. 'They should be mentioning the problem of radical Islam which poses a great menace to free societies.'
