Jordan Peterson hits out at 'utterly delusional' Albanese government

????

Clinical psychologist and author Dr Jordan Peterson has hit out at the 'utter delusional leaders of Australia' for committing to a 43 per cent emissions reduction target by 2030 a move he claims will 'devastate' the nation. Dr Peterson said Australia was a 'resource-dependent and productive country' which is being subjected to a more than 40 per cent emissions reduction in the 'impossible timeframe of eight years'. 'He can see it from the other side of the world so many Australians, i.e., most of our politicians, can't even see it,' Sky News host Chris Kenny said.

yeh net zero is stupid same thing happened at work safety how long has it been 0 harm 0 injuries and it has crippled efficiency actually made work more dangerous in many cases, i used to work shutdowns at power stations we would be 10 meters in the at 30plus degrees with steam everywhere and we stilll had to wear saftey glasses. The glasses would fog in seconds rendering people basically blind youd have to move your galsses down your nose to see anything and people were getting fired not using them, i mean what are they meant to do they cant see with them on. Or getting fired for having your top button undone it was ridiculous created a shitty dob on your mates working environment, everyone was stressed out, not saying there shouldn't be safety but nothing can be done at 0.
@Mike_Sunshine Says:
Is this a Jordan Petterson deep fake?? The way he says "this will devastate Australia" almost sounded robotic. Imo fox news/sky news is employing some next level propaganda and undertaking a mass scale social engineering experiment. Using figure heads like Jordan peterson to drive a narrative and wedge between the people. Like Sky "news" is the farthest thing from news anymore. This is just outright propaganda with Unbelievablably biased and politically motivated views. "News" is meant to he bipartisan and neutral. This is the furthest thing for that there is. This is an attack on our democracy.

It is essentially that. The richest 0.0000001% are manufacturing their own climate crisis in order to depopulate the third world. In the name of compassion.
@justaminute3111 Says:
Everyone is going on about Jordan Peterson. Tim Blair was spot on as well. We have already picked off the low hanging fruit in terms of reduction. This is not an arithmetic scales but a logarithmic one.

Yeah, Jordan Peterson the energy and infrastructure expert. He can't even get his psychology correct.

I'm with Jordan on so ... everything. However here is is stepping outside his knowledge domain. This 40% target is not even a matter of science, it's not a matter of a massive pivot away from coal or anything along these lines. The 40% (by 2005 Standards) is solvable quite simply with the existing 'do nothing' approach we're really great at. 1) The 2005 energy number is a number which is smaller than todays output. 2) Wind+Solar globally is growing at a rate of 20%. Where is this 20%? India? Africa? South America? Borneo? No. It's in nations rich enough to afford solar+wind+baseload that politically stable enough to bother investing in. So, Australia represents a greater portion that 20% growth than the world average. 3) Solar+Wind accounts for 24% of Australian electrical production already(Energy.gov.au) and has a growth rate of 20%yoy for over a decade, every year including last year. Simply reamining on track at current trajectory provides us with 103% of existing national production from Wind+Solar alone. So in 8 years we will probably have some kind of capacity problems, not in solar\wind underproduction, but in baseload capability. So, essentially "Do nothing different" and have problem arise that reverses the current trend and cuts new supply growth by 90%... and we still get from 24 to 40%. (That 40% number if we investigate will probably be something like 35% due to 15 years of supply growth if we look.)

On the other hand, Australia does have practically unlimited potential for renewables, and a small population.This is a country with the potential to use very little fossil fuels, and still have a high quality of life. But it hardly matters as most of the world is over populated and will not be able to produce much energy from the environment. It won’t make much/any difference to the climate whatever Australia does, other than diversify and improve energy security for the Australians, which is something they may consider useful.
@hOurworld11 Says:
It's politicians can't see it, you know they have to follow their masters orders.
@lummylum1875 Says:
Have we all not forgotten the analysis from that 16 year old, Thunberg, when she lectured everyone who was prepared to listen? She gave us all advice on the fact people would suffer, they are dying, eco systems are collapsing, and we are at the beginning of a mass extinction - from what I see she is 100% correct. But not from changing climate, but rather from the actions that ignorant governments around the world and the likes of United Nations have placed sanctions and embargos new developments for mining coal and fossil fuels, limitations placed by Green groups for clearing of boundaries to mitigate the effects of bushfires (natural causation or deliberate) and we could go on and on here. Jordan Peterson is one of the most articulate and intelligent influencers in the world.
