If they knew then, what they know now, the Senate could have been fully justified in voting to impeach and legally remove the deviant from public office immediately. After out of office and no longer president, he can be investigated, indicted, and convicted of a long history of organized crime as his criminal perpetrators who worked for him have been indicted. Guilt by Association is why many have learned to disassociate their blind loyalty to a known New York crime boss because if they continue to listen to his hypocritical lies, fake speeches, devisive politics, orders to commit crimes for him, they risk the future consequences of Guilt by Association, professional shame, disgrace, subpoenas, investigations, indictments, convictions and other consequences of the guilty.
