China's largest offshore wind power project in terms of single capacity has been put into use, with full-capacity electric power connected to the grid. It is the first Chinese-foreign joint stock offshore wind power project within the country. The entire project is expected to generate 1.39 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, which can meet the annual demand of around two million people. This is equivalent to saving 441,900 tons of standard coal, 937,500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions and 1,704 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions.
