Sky News host Cory Bernardi says the Greens' vision for the future is 'built on the back of slave labour' with children exploited in countries like Congo.
One of the key elements used in the transition to renewables and battery storage is cobalt and 90 per cent of it is mined in the Congo, according to Mr Bernardi.
'Prolonged exposure to cobalt can lead to birth defects, cancer, lung disease and death,' he said.
'You never hear the Greens or their renewable fairy-tale touts talk about this inconvenient truth.'
