The majority of Russians supports Putin too much for a revolution yet. A coup or assassination from Putin's inner circles seems more likely. New elections will be needed, but probably not leading to a true democracy either, probably just another elite.
In any case, it's all in the hands of Russia and Russians. I don't think we can lift Western sanctions just because Russia is not a true democracy and we don't like it, that's too much unjustified interference with a sovereign nation, but lifting these sanctions can be conditional to Russia paying war compensation and reparation to Ukraine.
Still, you can bet that there will be a lot of Western economical and political pressure to restore oil and gas deliveries to Europe, and if this happens, that basically takes out all the leverage we have over Russia to ensure it does the right thing for Ukraine.
Ukraine also has a role to play in this Russian change of regime or revolution: A big strategic victory can have this effect on the Russian people, realizing that all that Putin said and did is pure BS.
And of course many other considerations, a whole series of books can be written on this subject matter...
