Sydney Mayor: 'Chaos' at COVID testing centres 'totally avoidable'
Randwick City Council Mayor Dylan Parker says the "chaos" seen at testing clinics all across New South Wales over Christmas was "totally avoidable". It comes as people reported to queuing up for more than five hours before being tested with some clinics shutting down for the Christmas day holiday. "In particular my area it was totally avoidable ... because all the New South Wales government had to do was open the clinic that they already have their on Christmas day and in the lead up to the holiday period," Mr Parker said. "I was receiving reports that clinics were intermittently shutting some were now no longer taking members of the public but were only taking those who were travelling abroad."
