Sydney hospital sends 400 false negative COVID results
A Sydney pathology service which operates inside St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney has admitted to informing more than 400 people they were negative for COVID-19 when they were actually positive. The hospital released a statement stating as soon as it became aware of the issue, SydPath immediately commenced a process to contact impacted people. The statement also said an emergency response team is investigating the cause of the mistake, believed to be human error.
