Queensland mental health clinic forced into lockdown

????

Sky News Australia can reveal a leading mental health facility in an inner-city suburb of Brisbane has been forced into lockdown. Around 41 patients are prevented from leaving the Ramsay Mental Health Clinic in New Farm, and loved ones forbidden from visiting, after two staff members were identified as positive COVID carriers. The acting director of clinical services has confirmed all patients have been placed in isolation and prevented from socialising. Group therapy has been suspended and in a letter to patients, management says the decision has been made to cease patients leaving the hospital. Although the situation has been brewing since December 21, the decision to lock the clinic down was made on Christmas Eve - leaving a three-day window during which visitors and patients were free to come and go.
