South Australian restrictions hitting businesses hard
South Australian hospitality businesses are scrambling to cancel or change their New Year's Eve plans after the state government banned dancing and singing at venues in a bid to slow the spread of the Omicron variant. More than 20 businesses have already made plans to close before what would have been one of their busiest days of the year. South Australian Premier Steven Marshall has said he has been in meetings with the treasurer this week about a support package for businesses which have been affected by the targeted campaign.
