Former New Zealand MP Dr Muriel Newman says a prominent M?ori leader is 'chasing headlines' by saying New Zealand should block Australian deportations.
It comes after National M?ori Authority Chairman Matthew Tukaki called for planes to be turned around to stem local violence.
'There's no way that his suggestion is a serious suggestion and certainly I'm 100 per cent sure our government would never countenance anything like that,' Dr Newman told Sky News host Caleb Bond.
'But the reality is ... he's chasing headlines, he sees this is a great way of making international news, and that's all he's doing.'
If they've grown up in Australia, didn't they learn to be criminals there? Not our problem!

Seriously bring back the passports between New Zealand and Australia and New Zealand can have back it's 650,000 Kiwis and we will have back our 65,000 Aussies and that way we want have to pay education, medical, welfare ect for Kiwis and not have Kiwis taking Aussies jobs and we will be heaps better off plus the Kiwis will be properly screened before they are let into our Country in the first place.
