Ultimately Trump isn't going to prison over this. He will likely have to pay a campaign finance fine and he will certainly appeal. He and his supporters have lost other cases in recent months and it hasn't had much of an effect on the polls either. The polls are frozen in place because everyone has very fixed opinions of Biden and Trump. There has been very little change in the polls for the last 6 months. People have largely made up their minds.

How can it be a tax or business fraud? Trump never took a deduction for the payment!
How can it be fraud to influence the election? Trump signed the checks in the White House AFTER the election.
