An SES volunteer has died trying to save others in Queensland and another person has been found dead in Brisbane as the state's southeast experiences a flooding emergency.
The worker was responding to calls for assistance at Coolana when the vehicle the volunteer was travelling in was swept off the road.
There were three other volunteers who were successfully rescued from the vehicle.
Another person died in floods in the inner south as a body was found when floodwaters receded in Stones Corner.
The death toll from the flooding is now four people.
