Romania knows that Viktor Orban is an ally of Putin because he expects Putin to change the territorial order of East-Central Europe... so Orban thinks that in exchange for his support Putin will give him a big part of Romania (especially Transylvania) and some parts of West Ukraine. Orban wants to rebuild the old "Hungarian Kingdom" that had those territories ages ago. So, of course Romania needs to stop Putin. Not only Putin is a danger for East-Central Europe, but Orban. It is crazy that NATO and EU have not expelled Hungary yet.

Very smart. A distributed, decentralized energy system will by a thousand times more resistant to Russian strikes and provide bridge power while damage is repaired. It can also be funded and installed independently from the government so people can help the war effort by doing this work themselves. And Romania giving up a Patriot system is a huge gesture. They directly border Ukraine and Moldova and the Black Sea. Russia is a very close threat for them and they have a good chance of actually needing that system. It means a lot more for them to give up a Patriot system than for a country far removed like the USA or the Netherlands to do so. Bravo, Romania!
