You may want to think about it, because the Republicans are just as responsible for circumstances at the border as the Democrats. They have held the majority and yet they have done nothing, forcing the Administration to use Executive Powers.
Personally what I think is Trump will seek to expand Presidential Powers and give it enough scope to rule over the Congress, the DOJ and force states to do as the regime demands. If I were him that's what I would do along with purging the Military of non supporters.
